In a live show, a seller can move from reveal to sold before you have time to verify the card. WhatNow identifies it, distinguishes the parallel, and checks market data in seconds — so bad information and pressure don't make you overpay.

Questions before you try it

How does the beta work?
WhatNow is free during the private beta while we improve catalog coverage, matching, and the live-show experience. Features and future pricing may change. Beta testers will be told before any paid plan is introduced.
Do I need an AI or API key?
No. Card recognition is handled by WhatNow, so beta testers do not need to create or manage a separate AI account.
Are the prices always right?
No. A comp can be stale, a parallel can be misidentified, and condition changes the price. WhatNow is designed to make those risks visible: match score, reference images, source labels, comp photos, and a direct eBay verification link. Treat the evidence as decision support — not a guarantee.
What leaves my phone?
Only when you tap scan: the captured card image is processed for recognition, the identified details go to the pricing service, and a smaller crop may be relayed for visual listing search. No account, no browsing history. See exactly what's processed in the privacy policy.
Does it handle slabs and parallels?
Yes. Slab grades are priced on their own rung of the ladder, and detected parallels are matched against their own evidence instead of blended into the base card. When the variant can't be verified, WhatNow tells you to review it.
Is this a Whatnot thing?
